Grace Huxtable-Mount established Huxtable Education Group in 2005 after working as an elementary school teacher in multiple public school settings. She holds professional teacher certifications in both Florida and Georgia. Her teaching experiences include diagnosing the needs of struggling students, developing individualized intervention plans, and providing differentiated instruction in all subjects so that those students meet state educational standards. In addition to teaching during the normal school day, she was also responsible for providing students with after-school tutoring in preparation for state standardized testing. She has worked with students from high-poverty communities that were at-risk for failure in school and has helped to close the achievement gap between minorities in high-poverty schools and non-minorities in affluent schools. She has been responsible for maintaining business partnerships with public schools and has served on committees that play a key role in school-wide decision-making.

Mrs. Huxtable-Mount graduated from a five-year professional teacher preparation program at the University of Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Master of Education degrees. During her studies, she focused on literacy which gave her the tools necessary to understand literacy development in children, how to diagnose and provide remediation and how to differentiate instruction for students with varying abilities. Currently, Mrs. Huxtable-Mount is a doctoral student on the path to completing her PhD in educational leadership and becoming certified in school administration in Florida. The primary focus of her studies has been on improving urban education and understanding the best practices for school leaders and teachers in high-poverty, high-minority educational settings. This experience has solidified her skills in leadership and management, giving her the expertise to lead Huxtable Education Group in the right direction.
