Huxtable Education Group instructors will provide instruction in essential math concepts identified by the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) and the Florida Sunshine State Standards: number sense and operations, measurement, geometry and spatial sense, algebraic thinking, and data analysis and probability. Direct instruction is implemented to instruct students on problem solving, reasoning skills, communicating about their thinking, connections between mathematical concepts and real-life situations and developing various representation models to help understand situations and problems.
