Our Approach

Students receiving instruction from Huxtable Education Group will either participate in individual or small group (5 or fewer students) instruction depending on classroom teacher recommendations, parental requests, and results of diagnostic assessments. Students in either setting will receive instruction that is directly targeted to meet their individual needs. Research shows that small group instruction has positive effects on students relating to student learning, student attitudes and student general self-concept. Students will have the support of both their instructors and their peers as they develop new understandings. Huxtable Education Group instructors will facilitate a culture of mutual respect, motivation and support within the small group. Small groups will promote positive interdependence coupled with individual accountability so that students are held responsible for learning and contributing to the group's learning experiences.
